Chick Hatching
This is a year-round micro-homesteading initiative designed for early learners in Pre-K through 8th grade. The program offers a hands-on, memorable experience where participants receive a complete chick-hatching kit.
By introducing children to the basics of food systems and animal care, the program supports positive childhood experiences and helps develop practical life skills through small-scale urban agriculture.
In addition to fostering curiosity and responsibility, the initiative also encourages family and classroom engagement, creating shared learning moments that extend beyond the home or school setting. As children observe the stages of life firsthand—from incubation to hatching—they gain a deeper appreciation for nature, sustainability, and the interconnectedness of living systems, laying a foundation for lifelong environmental awareness.
