Finding Home Potluck
The 3rd Annual Finding Home African-Inspired Potluck will take place Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Southwest Baltimore. Guests are invited to share a communal meal, explore an urban homestead, and reflect on the theme: “Mutually beneficial relationships enhance our human capacity to thrive.” The event highlights the restorative power of nature and community through food, conversation, and connection.
Attendees enjoy a rich blend of African-inspired dishes contributed by community members, each meal telling a story of heritage, resilience, and shared identity. The day features guided homestead tours, storytelling circles, music, and interactive stations that invite participants of all ages to plant, harvest, and engage with the land. In centering cultural traditions and sustainability, the potluck creates space for reflection on what it means to build home—not just as a place, but as a shared practice of belonging and mutual care.
